"A classic in the making"

~ Kimberly Rocha, Book Obsessed Chicks Book Club Reviews

Hot cowboys. The term alone brings a host of images to mind. Cowboy butts. Rough, calloused hands. Unshaven, strong jawlines. A sexy glint in adventurous, no-fear eyes. It’s enough to get your swoon on!!
Rugged Wyatt Kinnison, eldest of the three non-traditional brothers of the men of the Kinnison Legacy is the epitome of “Swoon.” Tall, dark, handsome, scarred by more than one woman’s betrayal, he’s now a loner who possesses integrity, grit and a fierce loyalty to family. He’s a formidable challenge to the second grade teacher who meets him by chance when she gets lost and must ask directions, one dark winters night. Between a dangerous winter storm, an unexpected field trip, and a near tragedy averted--poor Wyatt doesn’t realize until put to the test, how determined Aimee Worth can be when she sets her mind to what she wants.

Set-up: Aimee readies to ask Wyatt to go for coffee after running into him at the grocery store. It’s the second time they’ve met and she can’t figure out why he seems so guarded—

She shrugged. “Denise says I’m lucky you acknowledge me at all. Quite the reputation with the ladies you must have around here, Slick.”
“My name isn’t Slick and Denise should mind her business.” He shifted the groceries in his crates so they wouldn’t tip over on the way back home. Where he needed to head soon before….
“I was wondering if you’d care to join me for a cup of coffee?”
Before that happened. “No, I don’t think so.”
“Do I scare you, cowboy?”
He let out a quiet laugh. “You certainly have quite the mouth on you.”
“That’s not a joke, is it?” she asked.
He slammed the gate of the truck bed. “Look, it’s been a pleasure. Thanks for the apple thing.” He started to leave.
“Oh my gawd. I just figured it out. You don’t like women. Of course, it all makes sense now.”
Wyatt walked to the back of the truck where she stood and stared at her. “What are you talking about?”
She blinked at him, her eyes bright with wonder. “I don’t know why I didn’t see it before. You hardly come to town, you prefer keeping to yourself. It must be difficult.”
He clamped his hand on the tailgate and pushed his face to hers. Of all the damn foolishness. “What must be difficult?” Wyatt took a deep breath and waited patiently, his gaze locked to hers.
“’Course it’s just as hard for single women. Don’t get me wrong. I do understand. My dad calls this place the land that time forgot. But for a guy with alternative preferences it must be—”
His brows shot up. “What?” he spat out in utter surprise. Does she really think…?
She leaned forward, studying him with those beautiful eyes. “It’s okay. I have no problem with it. You know, I think we could be really good friends, just the same.”
She shrugged. “Sure, why not? I accept your choices.”
“Oh well.” He chuckled with an odd sense of wonder at her gutsiness. “That’s mighty big of you.”
Her mouth turned down. “Look I’m just trying to be nice. Everybody gets lonely now and again.”
“I don’t.” At least if he did, he hadn’t thought about it in a long while. Which wasn’t the point. Good Lord, did people really think he was a Brokeback Mountain man?”
She tipped her head and gave him a sweet look of pity.
“Oh for gawd’s sake, this is ridiculous.” He wasn’t sure exactly what it was he intended to prove by his knee-jerk reaction, but the next thing he knew, he’d grabbed her fluffy, pink coat by the shoulders and captured her mouth in a kiss. His immediate thought was to end all question about his lifestyle choices, the second, a realization that while it was a horrid idea, parts much lower found it quite exhilarating.

Find out if Aimee “wrangles” this rough and rugged cowboy in RUGGED HEARTS, Book I of the Kinnison Legacy!

On the Front Porch with Cathryn Fox!!

Even though its been hotter than blazes
around here, the sunsets are as gorgeous as ever! Hovering that moment just before twilight, the sky is awash in a kalelidoscope of purple, pink, and peachy-yellow layers. It is my favorite time of day, and I reminds me of the Indian summer days ahead--with crisp evenings that promise a weather change is emminent! I hope you have a chance to find a shady spot on a porch to read a book, share a glass of tea with a neighbor, or just sit and enjoy the view!

As promised, today we have another in the trio of talented authors writing the hot new series at Samhain Publishing--WHISPERING COVE!

Amanda: Without further adieu, here is a little bit about Cathryn Fox!

Cathryn Fox is a multi published author in the romance genre. She is a wife, mom, sister, daughter, and friend. She loves dogs, sunny weather, anything chocolate (she never says no to a brownie) pizza and watermelon. She has two teenagers who keep her busy with their never ending activities, and a husband who is convinced he can turn her into a mixed martial arts fan. Cathryn can never find balance in her life, is always trying to find time to go to the gym, can never keep up with emails, Facebook or Twitter and tries to write page-turning books that her readers will love.

Amanda: I heard you have a favorite summertime drink? We've hit triple digits this week in the heat index, what have you got for us that's cool and refreshing?

Raspberry Lemonade

4 cups fresh lemon juice

3 cups sugar
1 bag frozen raspberries
Ice cubes, for serving
Squeeze the lemons and pour the juice into a pitcher. Mix together the sugar with 3 cups water and stir to dissolve to make a syrup. Add the syrup to the lemon juice and top it up with 8 cups water. Taste to make sure it's sweet enough for you, and then add the raspberries. Mix the lemonade together and let chill in the fridge. (Keep in mind that the raspberries are tart, so be sure to sweeten enough!)

Fill glass jars with ice cubes and top them off with the lemonade.

Amanda: Sounds positively delightful! While we enjoy a bit of this tangy & sweet concotion, maybe you could share with us , what inspired you to write this story?

Cat: Hum...what inspired me to write this story? I had just finished visiting the small coastal town of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia when I was chatting with Nikki.  She mentioned she wanted to do an anthology and I jumped on it, wanting to set the stories is such a beautiful place like Lunenburg.

Amanda: How about a sneek peek from Brazen??

Excerpt from BRAZEN:

He was just about to shout to Trent, who was chatting quietly with Katy, to tell him to close up the kissing booth so he could do a count, when another woman dropped down into the seat across from him. Adam lifted his head to see who it was, and opened his mouth to inform her that his shift was over, but when he caught sight of the beautiful girl sitting across from him, the world around him tilted on its axis and his stomach punched into his throat.
“Adam,” Josie greeted, those big blue eyes of hers staring at him as her mouth turned up in a warm, inviting smile—the same breath-robbing smile she’d given him earlier that day.
“What…what are you doing?” he finally managed to ask once he regained control of his voice.
She causally rolled one shoulder, and slid her dollar across the counter. “Like you, I’m just doing my part to raise money for the new community center.”
“Oh,” he said, and wet his lips. “I guess I just didn’t expect…”
She gave him an easy, playful grin, and everything in the way she looked at him had his body reacting with heated need. His glance raced over her face, taking in her big eyes, full, lush mouth and long blonde hair. Christ, she looked so gorgeous and sensual that it had his cock tightening to the point of pain. He shifted, uncomfortable, as his body reacted to her closeness, not to mention what that sweet jasmine scent of hers was doing to him. As his blood went from simmer to inferno, he cleared his throat and tried to relax.
“Didn’t expect what?” she asked with bright-eyed innocence, except beneath that innocence he thought he spotted something else. Something that looked like desire. White-hot desire, that was. For him.
Oh f***! (edited)
“I don’t know.” Flustered, he raked his hair off his forehead. “Never mind.”
Her mouth curved. “Shall we get on with it then?” Josie asked, her voice playful, teasing, as she leaned forward to poise her mouth open. With the top two buttons on her dress undone, her actions gave him a perfect, unobstructed view of her cleavage. Adam tried not to stare. He really did. But he was a guy, for Christ’s sake!
And a pathetic one at that.
When she toyed with the third button on her dress, Adam nearly swallowed his tongue. With his mouth salivating worse than his brother’s Saint Bernard on a hot summer day, he briefly pinched his eyes shut and worked to get his thoughts focused. But how the hell was he supposed to keep a calm demeanor when Josie, the sweet girl who’d invaded his fantasies for as long as he could remember—a girl who suddenly seemed to be coming on strong—was waiting for him to kiss her?
Adam drew a deep, rejuvenating breath and reminded himself this was all for charity. Just thinking of the kids helped him gain a modicum of composure. Okay, he could do this. He could give her a small peck and then once the night was over he’d go find Cheri, or one of the other women who’d openly invited him home for a late-night rendezvous, and f*** (edited) her long and hard and well into the morning until he got Josie out of his system once and for all.
“Adam,” she whispered, “I’m ready.”
When their glances met, sexual energy arced between them and nearly k nocked him backward. His dick jumped, his blood pumped faster, and a barrage of emotions tore through him and had his thoughts scattering in a million different directions.
He took a deep breath, but before he could get his head on straight, her warm hands touched his cheeks, igniting a fire deep inside him. That first sweet touch of her lips to his damn near shut down his brain. As tension coiled inside him, she made a small sexy noise, one that had him conjuring up erotic images of their naked bodies coming together, over and over again, and it was all he could do not to climb over that booth and drag her home with him.
Her kiss was warm, full of passion, excitement and something else, something he’d never felt before and couldn’t quite put a name to. Before he realized what he was doing, he widened her lips with his tongue and slipped inside for a deeper, more thorough exploration. At first the kiss was slow, sultry, but when he deepened it, needing in the most unfathomable ways to taste every inch of her, her mouth moved urgently under his, seeking, searching, demanding more than just his tongue.
As her mouth pressed hungrily, pressure began brewing inside him, and his body pulsed with raw need. Oh God, how he wanted. His fingers began trembling, and then, as though moving of their own accord, his hands circled her head and he fisted her hair, pulling her impossibly closer. His muscles bunched, his cock ached and a deep growl of longing caught in his throat. In the span of a second, this beautiful, sensual woman caught him off guard and completely turned his world inside out.

On the Front Porch, Mackenzie McKade!!

Today on the front porch we have another of the talented women involv ed in the HOT new series at Samhain called WHISPERING COVE!

I've known Mac through meeting at RT when we served on the faery court together and ever since we've been booksigning buddies due to our last name placement;) I told Mac this year at RT that I swiped her Mackenzie name when creating Rein Mackenzie--my tormeted cowboy hero in Rustlers Heart (Book #2-the Kinnson Legacy series!)

But enough about cowboys (though Mac is great at those too!) Lets get to know more about her first! mac , tell us about you!

Mackenzie: Born and raised in the deserts of Arizona, I love the mountains and lakes. If I'm not at the computer writing or buried nose deep in a book you’ll find me camping, or on a four-wheeler, or a jet ski, or being pulled behind a boat on an oblong tube called a ‘hot dog’ laughing my butt off.
My greatest accomplishment is my family. I have a wonderful husband of almost thirty years, three beautiful girls and three devilishly handsome grandsons who keep me on my toes!
As writing is a passion with many—it’s an obsession with me. Who knew that the wild things going on in my head someone would actually read? But I'm thankful you do and hope you find joy and entertainment in the sometimes—okay most of the time—risqué ramblings.
What inspired you to write this particular story?
Mackenzie: I love Brody, my hero from my first Whispering Cove book (Wild), so when Cathryn and Nikki and I agreed to write another series it seemed only natural to write about his brother. Reece's character was already formulated in my head, so he was a natural for me. I had already established his career, his carefree attitude, all I needed was a heroine that would keep him jumping. I knew I had to have a self-assured, strong and independent woman.

Every story needs conflict, so what better way to introduce it then forbidden love. With that thought Tabatha Taylor or Tabby who is the sister of Reece's best friend, his very protective best friend, arose.  Tabby has had a crush on Reece since she was a child. That crush has evolved into love and a helluva ride for one man who doesn't want to cross the line of friendship. But sometimes the heart is control, which Reece learns the hard way.

I love the way the characters in these stories crossover into other stories! Gotta love small town life!! Can you share an excerpt with us?

Excerpt from BOLD~
“Hungry, cowboy?”
The sexy female voice at the bottom of the ladder had him missing the next rung. He bumped his chin on the upper step as he caught his balance, saving him from tumbling to the ground. When he looked down, his eyes nearly popped from their sockets. Damn if he hadn’t conjured the little minx, but her mere presence wasn’t what held him enthralled. The tomboy had turned into a beautiful young woman, hotter than hell, with a killer five-foot-five body that attracted every man between the ages of sixteen and ninety-two.
Her full plump lips were parted by a self-satisfied smirk. “Whoa there. I never thought I’d see a ladder buck the great Reece McGrath off.” She batted long eyelashes the same sooty color of her elbow-length hair.
Seconds passed and he still hadn’t found his tongue. Instead he continued to stare, and it wasn’t at her heart-shaped lips, because they weren’t the only plump items on her curvy body. No. Her low-cut, skin-tight T-shirt molded a perfect set of D-cups and a deep cleavage a man could get lost in.
He swiped another gloved hand over his damp forehead and inhaled her exotic perfume, something flowery and untamed, uniquely Tabby. There was nothing like the scent of a woman to distract him and his appetite, because all he could think about was feasting on her delectable breasts.
Whoa. Heat singed his neck, flaring across his face. Where that thought came from he had no idea, but it would be best for him to remember she was off-limits.
Fighting male instinct, he forced his gaze to meet hers. “Hey, Tabby.”
 “Hey, yourself.”
Her feminine tone softened into a glide of silk that smoothed across his nerve endings like the light caress of delicate fingertips against his heated skin. His cock twitched, his mind going places best not visited as he reminded himself exactly who Tabby was. Hell. He had known her all her life. Yet each year it had gotten harder and harder not to appreciate the woman she had become.
And she didn’t make it easy. Like now, with those come-hither looks she flashed at him every time they were within twelve feet of each other. Her childhood crush on him had turned into something more and it was damned hard not to fall into the little vixen’s snare.

On the Front Porch: Nikki Duncan!

Today I have the vivacious and talented Nikki Duncan visiting to share with us about a hot new series over at Samhain Publlishing called WHISPERING COVE!

In the next few weeks, I'll be introducing the talented creators of WHISPERING COVE and their individual stories! So be sure to stop by , sit a spell, and ask your most burning questions about this wonderful new series!!

Let's start with getting a sneal peek behind this formidable writer!

About Nikki:
Heart stopping puppy chases, childhood melodrama and the aborted hangings of  innocent toys are all in a day’s work for Nikki Duncan. This athletic equestrian turned reluctant homemaker turned daring author, is drawn to the siren song of a fresh storyline. Nikki plots murder and mayhem over breakfast, scandalous exposes at lunch and the sensual turn of phrase after dinner. It is the pleasurable excitement and anticipation of unraveling her character’s motivation that drives her to write long past the witching hour.
The only anxiety and apprehension haunting this author comes from pondering the mysterious outcome of her latest twist.

So tell us, what's the inspiratiion behind Whispering Cove?

NIKKI: Small towns, close knit friends, meddling grandfathers, and steamy nights. It all makes for a perfect melting pot for pairing up couples who belong together, even if it means pulling strangers into the mix.

Whispering Cove is a small, coastal town, created by Cathryn Fox, Mackenzie McKade, and myself. Cobbled streets, colorful buildings and flavorful characters make the place home and a home away from home for tourists. It's one of my favorite places to escape to.

And what about your story? Can you give us some insight how you came up with these characters?

NIKKI: When I began planning BURNED, I knew exactly which characters I
would write about. Delving into their lives and the idea of why these two best friends had avoided a more personal relationship was only some of the fun. The biggest excitement for me, beyond the couple, was watching three people (father, daughter and best friend) come together as a family. Family, after all, is one of my hot buttons - I think everyone deserves one, in whatever shape or form that's right for them.

I LOVE stories that mesh a variety of people--especially friends, family and community! Maybe you could share an excerpt with us?

Excerpt of BURNED~

Hours later, after Sophie had gone to bed and Hauk was locking up behind the last patron, with the lights in the town going down as volunteers wrapped up their work on the festival booths, Vic turned her stool to watch him.

Pent-up rage drove his steps, as it had driven every move he’d made all night. It was an aggressive, dominant side of him she hadn’t seen in full swing before. She loved it.

“What are you doing, Vic?” He stopped a few feet away. His jaw flexed with tension.

“Looking for talent for the festival. Did you forget we were supposed to be working together?” She grabbed her drink, and without breaking their stare, she used her tongue to find the straw. Hauk practically growled, but he didn’t move.

“I’ve forgotten nothing.”

“I have some ideas on the headliner and have been thinking about some singing games that could be played to raise money for the community center. Night games mainly because they’re not exactly kid friendly.”

“Of course you have.” The energy he’d held in all evening snapped in each syllable he spoke.

“So.” She set her drink down and hopped off the stool. Moving around him, walking in a tight circle so she brushed his body, she smiled. “The first game is a sort of singing dating game.”

“How would that work?”

“We erect a screen with one chair on one side and three on the other. The bachelor…” sliding a finger down his spine, she lingered behind him, “…or bachelorette, sits in the one chair and asks questions of the contestants on the other side.”

His back rippled beneath her touch. “That’s not singing.”

“The questions have to be song related.”

He looked over his shoulder at her. “Like what?”

“Like…” She paused, leaned up on tiptoe to whisper at his ear. “How does it make you feel to hear a woman singing about the power of a kiss?”

Her breasts brushed his back and they both trembled. Her thong was getting wet as she seduced herself as much as Hauk. “Or, what would you sing to a woman you want to seduce?”

“This—” His voice cracked. “This is a dangerous game.”

She circled to his front, running her hand along his waist. Each step rubbed the moist lace against her clit, heightened her fever. “But is it one you want to play?”

Whoa! This sounds delish!! Where can readers find your books??

What do you look for in an escape? Commenters today will be entered into a drawing for a .pdf of WICKED or BURNED (winner's choice.)

Want to hang out with Nikki??

Aug 8: MONICA BURNS visits the Front Porch

Today on the Front Porch we have my good friend and talented author, Monica Burns. Monica and I met a couple of years back at Lora Leigh's Reader Appreciation Weekend. Vivacious and with a heart of gold, I'm pleased to heave her visiting today at the Front Porch!

Amanda: Finally , you made it!! I'm very excited to hear more about this book in particular. But before we get to your book, let's hear a bit about you---

A bestselling author of spicy historical and paranormal romance, Monica Burns
penned her first short romance story at the age of nine when she selected the pseudonym she uses today. Her historical book awards include the 2011 RT BookReviews Reviewers Choice Award and the 2012 Gayle Wilson Heart of Excellence Award for Pleasure Me. She is also the recipient of the prestigious paranormal romance award, the 2011 PRISM Best of the Best award for Assassin’s Heart. From the days when she hid her stories from her sisters to her first completed full-length manuscript, she always believed in her dream despite rejections and setbacks. A workaholic wife and mother, Monica believes it’s possible for the good guy to win if they work hard enough.

Amanda: Before I go any further, as I do with all my guests, they must come bearing a recipe to share--today, because of the sinfully decadent tone of this book, I want to hear more about this luscious Butter Cake that you make!!

Butter Scrumptious Cake
(I make this cake only once a year for our 4th of July celebration. The kids look forward to it immensely)

2 cup flour
1/2 cup butter
2 teaspoon baking powder
8 ounce cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs, unbeaten
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar

Cream butter and cream cheese. Gradually add sugar into creamed mixture. Blend well. Blend in the eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Mix all dry ingredients. Alternate adding dry ingredients to the creamed mixture with the milk. Pour into a 13x9" pan and sprinkle with topping. Bake at 350F or 30-40 minutes.

To make the topping, cut butter into flour and brown sugar until crumbly. For a really moist cake, double the topping.

Amanda: Accomplished cook, prolific and determined writer--an unstoppable combo, certainly!  I'm curious, what inspired you to write this particular story?

Monica: I wrote this story about eight years ago, and at the time, there were few, if any, older heroines in romance. And at the time, I couldn’t even find an older woman, younger man historical. So I simply decided it was about time someone wrote one. Love’s Revenge was first published in 2005, and I’ve always loved Sophie and Quentin. When I decided to reissue the book this year, I went back to the older book and revamped it for improved characterizations. I love this book. Maybe that’s because I’m an older woman to my husband’s tender years.

Amanda: I LOVE the premise of an older woman , younger man! I love when authors take risks in their writing-period! This is going on my TBR stack, for sure! And what a gorgeous cover!! Please give us an overview of this story!

All her life, Sophie’s tried to earn her father’s love to no avail. Even her one chance for happiness was crushed beneath his tyrannical thumb, leaving her firmly on the shelf at forty-one. Sophie accepts her fate until she impulsively uses her father’s criminal activities to escape a life of servitude and right a wrong at the same time. She never really expected the Devil of Devlyn to actually accept her rash proposal, and she certainly hadn’t planned on falling in love with a younger man.

When Quentin Blackwell, Earl of Devlyn, discovered the woman he loved was carrying another man’s child, he refused to marry her. In retaliation, her father ruined Devlyn. When Sophie Hamilton, the man’s eldest daughter, comes to him with an unexpected offer, Devlyn seizes the chance for vengeance. What he doesn’t bargain on is how revenge could cost him the one thing he wants the most. Sophie’s love.

Amanda: This sounds downright scandalous and delightful! How about an excerpt??

Excerpt from Love's Revenge:
“Please, my lord. It was a mistake to come here.”
“Perhaps, but nonetheless, I’ll have an answer from you.”
“Or what?” The sudden challenge in her voice amused him. Sophie Hamilton had backbone. He liked that.
“Hmm, what could I do to persuade you to answer?”
His fingers touched the snowy cravat tied around her neck. With a lazy movement, he gently tugged at one of the ties. She went rigid as his forefinger slipped between her skin and the white material before he slowly pulled the loose knot away from her throat. The cravat tumbled open to expose her creamy throat. God, she was a tempting wench. Quentin tensed at the way his body was reacting to her. Without thinking, he pressed his thumb against the hollow of her throat enjoying the way her gasp moved her skin beneath his touch. Again, the netting fluttered wildly against her face.
“My lord, please.”
“Please is a subjective word, Miss Hamilton. Are you asking me to do something wicked? Or are you begging to tell me your reasons for this interesting proposition of yours?”
“I…I wish to…oh bloody hell!”
Her oath was so completely unexpected as she jerked away from him that he found himself choking in an effort to swallow his laugh. Sophie Hamilton was far more interesting than any woman he’d ever met.

Welcome Bianca Sarble to the FRONT PORCH!

We're experiencing picture -perfect days here in the upper Midwest.  It's summer the way I remember it--the radio blasting at the public pool, kids on their bicycles, taking walks and sitting in the shade enjoying an ice cream cone. I've even had a few days of staring up at the endless blue sky filled with puffy white clouds in wonder--remembering when finding shapes in the clouds was popular summer past time.

I love the seasons, and today I have my coffee and invite you to the cool shade of my Front Porch to visit with a fellow Decadent author, Bianca Sarble.

Amanda: Bianca, why don't you tell us a bit about yourself?

BIANCA: Thank you Amanda for having me on the Front Porch today! Once upon a time, in a land called Australia, there lived a delightful young girl named Bianca who loved to read. As she grew older, her sarcastic tendencies and warped sense of humor became evident, as did her preference for raunchy romances. Now, as well as reigning over their 1/4 acre kingdom with the handsome Prince that stole her heart and feeding their ever-growing children, she not only reads everything she can, but pens her own deliciously sexy stories.

Amanda: Before we get onto your book, did you bring a recipe you'd like to share with readers?

Bianca: I’m sure the weather’s a little warmer over there at this time of the year. Down Under it’s a chilly winter’s day complete with rain and thunderclouds. A perfect day for snuggling under the covers with a warm coffee and a good book. It won’t be long and we’ll be down to tank tops and flip flops again, but until we are, you’ll have to enjoy the Nuts & Bolts for me. Here’s the recipe, and I’m sure if you can’t find NutriGrain (the breakfast cereal) you could substitute with another wholegrain cereal with a little bit of sweetness!

Nuts and Bolts

400g NutriGrain cereal
375g salted peanuts
1 pack French onion soup mix
1 pack cream chicken soup mix
1 tablespoon curry powder
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1/2 cup vegetable oil

You simply combine all of the ingredients really well and then you have the best munchies for a lazy Summer afternoon!

Amanda: Sounds delish!! Will have to try this one out! I'm curious as always to ask authors what inspired you to write this book?

BIANCA: Writing Full Bloom wasn’t something I thought I’d ever do, but I’m so glad I did. I loved to read and I saw the Shooting Star Writing competition and wondered “Could I do it?” One of the things I love about my favourite authors is that they can take the reader to another place. They can introduce you to characters that, by the end of the book, they feel like old friends. My curiosity got the better of me and so I put pen to paper, or rather fingers to keys. That’s when I became addicted to writing my own characters and the world they live in.

Amanda: Curiosity is one of the writer's best tools! And I love delving into good characters!! Tell us a bit about your characters in FULL BLOOM.

Tash Hathaway has moved back to Freewill to open her own flower shop—Freewill Flower Garden. She is actively seeking a man to fill her Mr. Right vacancy and has even signed up to find him online. But when she finds duds instead of studs Cassi, Tash's best friend, convinces her to take a break and live a little, make some of her cowboy fantasies come true before settling down.

When his riding partner is injured, Nathan Davis goes home for a break from the PRCA circuit. He returns to find his life changing in ways he's not ready for. Nor does he expect the distraction of a beautiful small town girl who fulfills his wildest fantasies.

Tash and Nathan collide in a lust-filled bubble, but neither of them are prepared when things get serious. Can love come to full bloom between two people determined to have a temporary bit of fun?

Amanda: This sounds yummy! Can you give us a sneak peek??

BIANCA: Sure here is an excerpt from FULL BLOOM:

“Tash Hathaway.” He clicked his fingers. “Now I remember. You were a couple of years behind me at high school. How’s things?”
Oh my God. He’d remembered her. “Um, things are great. I own the flower shop in town.”
“So, you own that pretty little pink thing?”
Pretty little pink thing? What?
“Oh, the van!” Tash glanced over her shoulder at the bubblegum pink delivery van. “I bought it secondhand from a mobile hairdresser and haven’t taken it to get painted yet. I’m kinda getting used to the pink. So, what brings you back to town?”
“My traveling partner came second to a bull and wound up with a broken leg. By the time I helped get him settled in Texas, I’d fallen behind in the points, so I thought I’d spend some time at home. Come see the family, help out a bit. Lucky I did because my mom fell in the barn yesterday and broke her wrist.”
“Oh, that’s terrible. I hope she’s okay.”
“Yeah, she is, thanks.”
His voice sounded so smooth, but with a bit more twang than she remembered from high school. He’d certainly changed from the shy rancher’s son into a hunk of smokin’ hot cowboy.
“My dad’s bringing her home today, but it’s going to be tough on her.” Nathan half snorted. “Not one of the best things to do in a barn.”
Tash couldn’t resist trying out her newly rediscovered flirting skills with a man that not only flipped her switch but lit up the whole damn box. She hit him with her sexiest smile. “And I bet you’re an expert in all the best things to do in a barn.”
Nathan rubbed his chin as he looked her up and down. “Looking for some lessons?”
Don’t shoot your hand in the sky and say, “Pick me! Sign Me Up!”
She cocked her head as she ran her gaze over him, taking him in from the hair she wanted to run her fingers through, to his rather large buckle. She’d put him a little over six foot, which made him her idea of a perfect fit. Being a tall, lush woman, Tash liked the feel of her lover surrounding her as they made love, and knowing he wasn’t going to drop her when he had her pinned to the wall, banging her brains out.
“That depends. Are you skilled enough to be a teacher?”
An arched brow and curved corner of his delicious mouth hinted at his cautious curiosity. He came a step closer, their bodies separated only by inches. “Oh, I’ve got the skills. I’m a professional cowboy, which means I like to perfect every ride, every time.” Nathan leaned in close to her ear. “Which can take hours of practice.” He ran his fingertip up her arm as he slowly moved back and met her eyes. “And what kind of a cowboy would I be if I didn’t know my way around ropes? That’s a skill I’m very, very good at.”
